Virtual Reality Vocational Training
Virtual Reality / Vocational Training
Vocational Training VR
VR technology has great potential for vocational training, offering a more immersive
and engaging way for trainees to learn new skills and practice them in a safe and controlled environment.
Here are some ways VR can be applied in vocational training:
1. Simulation-based training: VR simulations can replicate real-life work situations and provide a
risk-free environment for trainees to practice and perfect their skills. For example, a trainee in a
manufacturing plant can practice assembling a complex piece of machinery without the risk of damaging the
equipment or causing harm to themselves
.
2. Remote training: VR can provide a way for trainees to receive training remotely, reducing the need for
travel or in-person training sessions. This can be especially useful for training in hazardous
environments or in situations where travel is difficult
.
3. Soft skills training: VR can also be used for training soft skills, such as communication, customer
service, and leadership. Trainees can practice scenarios that require them to use their soft skills,
providing a more realistic and immersive training experience
.
4.Performance evaluation: VR can be used for performance evaluation, allowing trainers to monitor
trainees' progress and provide feedback. Trainers can observe trainees' behavior in virtual scenarios and
assess their performance, providing targeted feedback to improve their skills.
Overall, VR technology has the potential to revolutionize vocational training, providing a more engaging,
realistic, and effective way for trainees to learn new skills and practice them in a safe and controlled
environment.
From here, we worked on a complete project in cooperation with the National Company for Employment and
Training, by converting 25 practical training materials into virtual reality experiences related to
specific professions such as (Tobar, ceiling, air conditioning and refrigeration, solar panel cell
installation, electricity,,,,,).
Solution
VR simulations can replicate real-life work situations and provide a risk-free environment for trainees to practice and perfect their skills. For example, a trainee in a manufacturing plant can practice assembling a complex piece of machinery without the risk of damaging the equipment or causing harm to themselves.
