Virtual Reality / Nursing Training
Peripheral IV VR
Peripheral IV VR is an immersive nursing training module focused on safe peripheral venous access, medication administration through IV injection, and fluid delivery through drip setup. The experience gives learners a structured environment to repeat critical steps, recognize mistakes, and build confidence before clinical practice.
Experience Highlights
Clinical Workflow
Learners move through preparation, patient verification, hand hygiene, equipment selection, vein assessment, and final documentation in a guided VR workflow.
Safe Repetition
The module supports repeated practice without patient risk, helping trainees improve hand positioning, aseptic technique, and decision-making.
Performance Feedback
Instructors can use the simulation to discuss missed steps, timing, contamination risks, patient comfort, and correct completion of the procedure.

Peripheral IV Modules
Peripheral IV - Injection
The Injection module focuses on administering medication through an established peripheral IV line. Trainees practice checking the medication order, confirming patient identity, inspecting the IV site, preparing the syringe, cleaning the access port, injecting at the correct rate, and observing the patient for discomfort or adverse response.
The scenario can include common learning moments such as wrong-port selection, missed disinfection, poor communication, incorrect push speed, and incomplete documentation. It is designed for nursing students, clinical instructors, and healthcare teams who need a repeatable way to teach safe IV medication administration.
- Medication verification and patient safety checks.
- IV port disinfection and injection technique.
- Post-injection monitoring and documentation.
Peripheral IV - Drip
The Drip module trains learners to prepare and manage IV fluid administration. The experience covers selecting the correct fluid, checking the prescription, priming the tubing, removing air from the line, connecting the drip safely, setting the flow rate, and monitoring the patient and insertion site during infusion.
This project is useful for teaching controlled workflow, equipment handling, and observation habits. It can simulate practical issues such as air bubbles, incorrect drip rate, infiltration signs, empty bag response, and pump or gravity-feed setup errors depending on the training objective.
- Fluid preparation, line priming, and connection steps.
- Drip-rate setup and infusion monitoring.
- Recognition of complications and response actions.
