Environmental Monitoring Equipment

Instruments that measure the water, air and weather conditions behind crop health, aquaculture, public health and environmental compliance.

Measuring the conditions that shape ecosystems and production

Environmental monitoring gives decision makers reliable numbers on water quality and local climate. Water laboratories, environment and agriculture ministries, municipalities, aquaculture farms, irrigation projects and universities use benchtop and portable analysers to test COD, nitrogen, phosphorus, heavy metals, turbidity, pH and conductivity, and deploy weather stations to log temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind and radiation at field sites. Together these measurements support irrigation planning, pollution control, research and early warning. ASFAN supplies, installs and supports this equipment and helps specify complete monitoring laboratories.

ASFAN supplies and supports water quality and weather monitoring equipment for laboratories, farms and agencies across the UAE.

Environmental Monitoring Categories

Water resource protection

Routine testing of wells, reservoirs, treated wastewater and irrigation water detects contamination early and confirms that water is fit for its intended use.

Smarter irrigation

Field weather data on temperature, humidity, rainfall and wind supports evapotranspiration estimates, so irrigation can be scheduled to crop demand rather than by habit.

Healthy aquaculture

Regular checks of dissolved oxygen, ammonia, nitrite and pH help fish and shrimp farms prevent stress and losses before problems become visible in the stock.

Research and reporting

Logged, time-stamped measurements give universities and agencies dependable datasets for scientific studies, environmental impact reports, regulatory submissions and long-term trend analysis across seasons and years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should we choose benchtop or portable water testing equipment?

Benchtop analysers suit laboratories that process many samples with the highest precision. Portable kits suit field surveys, remote sites and quick screening. Many programmes combine both, screening in the field and confirming in the laboratory.

Can weather data be accessed remotely?

Several of the stations offered log data internally and some transmit it wirelessly, so readings can be reviewed away from the site. Tell us how you need to access and export data and we will match the station accordingly.

Which parameters should a basic water laboratory cover?

A typical starting set is pH, conductivity or TDS, turbidity, COD, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus and total nitrogen, with heavy metals and bacteria added according to the water source and the regulations that apply.

Build your monitoring programme

Share the parameters, sample types and sites you need to cover. ASFAN will recommend suitable instruments and prepare a quotation.
