Laboratory & Life Science Equipment

Laboratory Centrifuges

High-speed, low-speed and refrigerated centrifuges for separating cells, nucleic acids, proteins, serum and food or soil extracts.

Laboratory Centrifuges

Separating samples quickly and safely

Centrifuges separate the components of a sample by spinning it at controlled speed. Compact high-speed models handle microtubes for DNA, RNA and protein work, refrigerated versions protect temperature-sensitive samples, low-speed centrifuges process blood, serum, urine and larger tubes, and a floor-standing large-capacity unit handles bulk volumes. In agricultural and food laboratories they also clarify soil, plant and food extracts before analysis. Molecular biology, veterinary, clinical, food and research laboratories use them daily. ASFAN supplies, installs and supports centrifuges and helps specify complete laboratories, matching rotors and capacity to each workflow.

ASFAN supplies and supports laboratory centrifuges for research, veterinary, food and university laboratories across the UAE.

Molecular biology preparation

High-speed microcentrifuges pellet cells and precipitate nucleic acids during extraction, a routine step before PCR testing for plant, animal and food pathogens.

Protecting sensitive samples

Refrigerated centrifuges hold the chamber at low temperature during the run, preventing enzymes, proteins and live cells from degrading as they are separated.

Serum and blood processing

Low-speed centrifuges separate serum and plasma from blood samples for veterinary and clinical testing, including the serological surveillance programmes used to monitor animal diseases in herds and flocks.

Clarifying extracts

Centrifugation removes particles from soil, plant and food extracts so that analytical instruments receive clean samples and produce stable, reproducible results.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do we choose between high-speed and low-speed centrifuges?

High-speed models suit microtubes and molecular work that needs strong separation forces. Low-speed models suit larger tubes and routine separations such as serum, urine and extract clarification. Many laboratories need one of each.

When is a refrigerated centrifuge necessary?

Choose refrigeration when samples are sensitive to heat, such as enzymes, proteins, RNA and live cells, or when long high-speed runs would otherwise warm the chamber and affect sample quality.

Why is rotor selection important?

The rotor determines which tubes fit, how many samples can be run together and the maximum force achieved. Specify your tube sizes and batch sizes so the right rotors and adaptors are included.
